Thread: CAPS driver config problem with LBP-1120 printer


i followed guide here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ca..._12.04_install

problem this: can printing work if "sudo service ccpd start" after boot computer. trying ccpd running automatically /etc/rc.local (as stated in caps driver readme) or trough update-rc.d gives me 1 malfunctioning ccpd process.

suggestions?

added "lpusb" /etc/modules , kept "/etc/init.d/ccpd start" in /etc/rc.local. finally..! seem work printer should now.

..once, @ least. ended 1 ccpd process anyway! added "sleep 5" rc.local before ccpd starts. not nice solution seems work far..

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
