Thread: raid sata drives not detected during installation


hi folks,

trying install ubuntu server of 12.04 on system configuration intel xeon processor , s1200bts motherboard , has support raid creation. created raid array of 2 1 tb drives using intel's server deployment cd.

after trying install ubuntu server 12.04 , once reach partion disk menu during installation , hard drives present in system not shown. following entries shown:

configure iscsi volumes

undo changes partitions
finish partitioning , write changes disk

if understand correctly here partition guiding entries should shown. doing wrong here?

can please guide me.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
