new ubuntu , wanting build computer using run ubuntu usb. advice , make sure setup work ubuntu 12.04 before start purchasing items. since running ubuntu off of usb thinking of not having harddrive @ all.

motherboard: gigabyte ga-a55m-ds2 amd a55 fm1 motherboard

i notice motherboard not support usb 3, might worthwhile getting 1 front , usb 3 slots? built own computer usb 3 slots , trust me once have experienced speed of transfer not go usb 2 .

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
