Text blocking out shadow when export to PDF (for print) only


hello,

 

i've been trying design brochure in indesign cc , have used drop shadow effect on text box, words shadowed. when try export pdf (for print), fore-text blocks out shadow, though in effects settings have unclicked "object knocks out shadow" box. happening when export pdf print, not when export pdf interactive.

any appreciated! in advance!

when export pdf interactive, better or worse (i think worse), colors converted srgb , there no such thing overprints. export pdf print (except smallest size export setting), colors maintained or @ worst, converted cmyk. explanation “difference” see.

 

in acrobat, if using overprinting , not exporting pdf/x-4, need force overprint preview on.

 

beyond that, if post screen shots of see in acrobat versus indesign and/or scan of prints, maybe can assist better.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
