Thread: Trying to install dual boot Ubuntu/Ubuntu server

i installed minimal ubuntu server (command line only), using half disk space. when tried install ubuntu make dual boot, however, can't see server install or partitions. wants use entire disk. have expected windows, not linux. these both latest releases. idea might doing wrong?

did install lvm?
standard live cd wouldn't able see lvm. also, if there error or corruption in partition table, offer use whole disk, not being able see existing installation.

reason might if have raid meta data remains on disk (if used in hardware raid / fakeraid before), in case installer confused whether running raid or not.

can start printing partitions with:
code:
sudo parted -l
what show?
