Thread: DHCPD.conf Error when creating reservations


hello,

getting following error after changed dhcpd.conf file include reservation:

code:
~$ sudo /etc/init.d/dhcp3-server restart  dhcpd self-test failed. please fix config file.  error was:   /etc/dhcp3/dhcpd.conf line 44: expecting parameter or declaration  host hostname {                ^  /etc/dhcp3/dhcpd.conf line 45: expecting parameter or declaration  ***	hardware ethernet mac:address;                                       ^
i appended reservation end of dhcpd.conf file. tried embedding within scope (subnet) complained global.

help.

there's syntax error, difficult guess without seeing conf file. post can take look?

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
