Resolved: Getting Blocked Plug-in error

i'm using mac os x 10.6.8 - snow leopard, trying upgrade maverick (safari 5.1.10 (6534.59.10).  upgrade process stuck @ flash player section.  when try download current version of flash player on adobe site, keep getting blocked plug-in error.

mac support says apple blocking several versions of flash player due security problems.  recommended contacting adobe support version not being blocked apple.  download version on adobe's site 11.9.  mac support says allowing 11.8 version.

i can't find way talk voice-to-voice adobe support person frustrating!  appreciate community available 24x7 , full of folks more expertise have, when i'm looking different software version available on site, seems have talking directly @ adobe.

i'm not sure know made difference, able download & install fp11.9 software couple of hours ago.

when worked mac folks had me check sure both pop-ups & java permissions on along making sure firewall wasn't on.  had me de-install/delete earlier version of fp on system.

one thing did trip me -- downloaded software window stayed hidden behind browser window getting fp plug-in blocked error tech support & both assumed nothing downloaded.  once noticed window in & went through other steps mac support, double-clicking on downloaded software install worked.
