Lightroom is changing my images without permission

hello everyone,

this issue has been happening on laptop lr3 , lr5 (trial version).

this issue has been mentioned here before, via thread:

http://forums.adobe.com/message/4698680

however, "op's"solution of resetting image in develop not working.

what's happening troubling. when loading image in develop, can see original colors , tone captured in film strip. however, image loads, lightroom applying sort of processing  changing color , detail. problematic night time star shots, fine detail of night sky darkened , muted lightroom. in other instances, such shooting wildlife, can see proper color in lightroom preview panel , in canon's dpp (i'm using 7d , 6d prime lenses btw), lightroom wipes out image loads.

it's quite strange see series of photos in film strip proper color, , having wiped out blander. more noticable in images "uni-light", is, color shade tends dominate image, if lightroom thinks wrong , trying correct it. needles say, results disturbing. "apply auto tone" unchecked, , none of suggested issues in original "op's" thread issue @ fault, can spare ourselves machinations.

i'd post example of color shift , blandess.

in first photo, see *correct* colors in film strip. but, when choosing single image develop, lightroom sucks vibrancy away, , applies *all* other photos in visible strip(but not images beyond, need scroll to).

the selected devlop image in example 1 incorrect in color, tone , detail. lightroom has "auto fixed" it, , apply dulling/life-sucking auto-correct remaining images, can see in example 2. pay attention right side off film strip especially. notice how golden/reddish sunset light removed after bizarre lightroom process gets example2.jpghold of visible images. lightrooom doing other images. perhaps disastrous of lightroom doing night time sky shots--completely wiping out star detail , nuance in tone.

example1.jpg

the film strip combined. first strip looks after weird auto-fix. second images supposed like:

example3.jpg

finally, i'll use dpp , lr5 comparison of same image. now, before touch *anything* in lr5 , lr3, bighorn ram in lr film strip looks dpp version. when click single image (or hover mouse) lighroom applies life-sucking auto correct of visible images in film strip.

example5.jpgexample6dpp.jpg

the tone , detail in dpp version (the 2nd bighorn image) saw in viewfinder, saw on off 6d, , saw in lightroom *until* clicked on image develop. more frustrating lightroom apply these drab auto-correct changes visible photos in develop film strip.

i sincerely hope fix released soon, renders lightroom unusable me.

there no fix since it's not broken.

lightroom shows preview embedded in raw camera (or dpp or nx2...) first, re-renders raw (without regard camera settings, except white balance, , without regard previous edits in dpp or nx2...).

so if looks yuckier you, need edit it, in lightroom.

if don't default settings, come prefer. if don't adobe standard profile, include different profile in defaults...

i'd more, subject has been beaten death in these forums, , i'm feeling bit worn down @ moment.

lightroom rocks, ya gotta learn how use .

rob
