Clipped video in PE12


i have dvd of 8mm movies scanned original files have been lost.  when copy 8 minute .vob file dvd, plays fine in cyberlink's powerdvd.  can rename file .mpg , play fine in windows media player.  however, when open file in pe12, first 20 seconds.  help.  - bill

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
