Thread: Help mounting ntfs partitions and alsa sound configurations


hi.
installed minimal ubuntu netinstall iso. got openbox , running , installed other software. but, can't mount ntfs partitions dual booting windows system. installed thunar , show side of it, when click on them, says unauthorized access. yes, have ntfs-3g installed.

also, installed alsa-base , alsa-utils, cannot command "alsamixer" run. says, "no directory , something".

edit: 12.04.

appreciated banging head since 2 days.

any getting thunar open ntfs partitions appreciated. see them on left panel, always, "cannot mount, not authorized"

edit: installing softwares solved sound issue. but, 1 still remains.

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
