have product/sales questions new ratel performance desktop regarding post-sales user upgrade.

how many empty ram slots there on motherboard if wanted upgrade memory later myself (when prices have come down 8 gb stick)? or have discard installed ram upgrade?

pc come bezel pictured optical drive if don't order dvd drive? if linux ever gets better blue-ray support, want install blue-ray drive. since pc has option internal sd, maybe pc comes different case depending on option chosen?

upgrading or adding drives, internal bay sizes (3.5 in or 2.5 in) first drive , second drive?

of above mentioned upgrades void warranty: memory, optical drive, storage drive?

know subjective, difficult upgrade of above-mentioned parts because of small case size? can imagine perhaps quite bit of dis-assembly required reach of parts.

not sure intended use has effect on general desire have flexibility of upgrading. nevertheless, fyi intended use system be:
software development (java/android), web development (apache, php, ruby-on-rails), database server, source code repository, in addition typical use word processing, email, web browsing, image software (gimp).

btw, posting in forum other people have benefit of response on upgrading model. obviously, have called sales number.

there 2 slots. full-sized 240-pin slots.

the cd bezel pictured included if order optical drive. use standard blank bezel if don't order optical drive. card reader gets mounted in optical drive bay, , in case no bezel included.

there 4 total internal hard drive slots. there 2 3.5 in. slots , 2 2.5 in. slots. keep in mind there 4 total sata ports on motherboard, , 2 sata iii.

not necessarily. couldn't cover upgraded parts under warranty, every else good, long upgrades aren't cause of problem.

everything mentioned except optical drive easy, particularly hard drives. optical drive requires removing both side panels mount properly, , motherboard mounted 1 of them, care should taken.
