Multiple selections

i have white image black rectangles on it. black rectanglest differ in size , number of rectangles per image. can selected via layermask.

 

in short: dom allow specify (a) number of particular selections in multiple selection , more importantly (b) held in array each selection can identified, isolated , worked in in script?

ie

select rectangles work out how many there loop on number in selection      select rectangle[i]      process selection end loop  

 

 

if there isn't, i'll have work out hard way which'll involve looking on teh image pixel pixel , identifying shapes.

with dom can check selection 1 contiguous area solid property it. rather checking pixel pixel turn selection temp path. each of seperate selected areas subpaths in temp path. number of subpaths tell how many rectangles selected , can check pathpoints determine size , position of each rectangle.
