Thread: set up AMD Radeon HD 6450 Dual Monitors


hi everyone,

i'm seasoned windows developer starting ubuntu. after doing, i've got ubuntu running on workstation, video doesn't work right. split across 2 monitors , mouse clicking way off. when start "nomodeset" option. gui comes okay on 1 monitor, it's wrong one.

i've looked around , found couple threads setting video, i'm hoping can video card , dual monitors.

i'll appreciate help.

please see ati wiki in signature , section in table of contents called "using ubuntu repositories (alternate command line method, including hardware acceleration)".

can use catalyst control center configure monitors.

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
