Thread: Associate Program to file extension problen. 12.04 & Gnome


i want use gphpedit , have installed using ubuntu software center.

trying associate *.php files, program not given option.

in nautilus right click on php file, open properties, click on open with, click on show other applications, couple dozen, gphpedit not 1 of them!

ideas on how can make association?

you need right click on file , use open tab, , add whatever command start gphpedit custom command (gphpedit? don't know command presumably can find enough).

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
