Screen starts flickering while rendering, then AE freezes


hallo everybody,  highly frustrated ae cs6.

 

when rendering video, first ae ultra-slow, screen starts flicker, several ae icons appear in taskbar , freezes... 

 

system: windows 8 on intel i7 3930 32gb ram, 2tb ssd , amd radeon hd 7970m... latest drivers installed... please help.

this sounds kind of gpu-related issue.  kind of source content using, , format outputting to?  using ray-traced rendering?

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
