Thread: Unable to install wireless driver


i using dell inspiron 15r 5520, using ubuntu 12.04
additional driver shows ati fgxlr proritary driver, , no broadcom drivers.
how enable wireless in device?

plug in cable, update, check additional drivers again. if doesn't work, cable in, make sure have these 2 installed:

b43-fwcutter
firmware-b43-installer

after installation may need reboot.

if neither works, please provide output of this, terminal (applications>accessories>terminal, copy/paste text below , hit enter, copy/paste output here):

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
