Thread: Just got 12.04, have Penguin Wireless N USB Adapter, worked before, now issues


started 10.04. had linksys e1000 wireless router. told needed buy penguin wireless n usb adapter off of thinkpenguin website. did, couldn't things working until 11.04 came out. after issues solved , things worked great. when 12.04 came out, thought upgrading , problems create, figured wouldn't ubuntu team's plan move backward, upgraded. things worked fine little while , web pages stopped loading.

if reset internet connection in ubuntu menu in upper right hand corner (i log off, log on) things work fine again 10-15 minutes.

seem problem occurs faster on sites trafficing more info, example, takes youtube video 5 minutes stop loading, or open youtube video @ same time , browser cannot connect until reset connection. regular site containing reading information limited animation doesn't give me trouble fast. typing have 2 other sites open containing readable info, , yet having no issues navigating forum, have reset internet connection.

people @ thinkpenguin seem think wireless card malfunctioning, , isn't result of new upgrade 12.04. said card bought them gets more complaints modem cheaper sister version, penguin wireless g usb adapter. bought wireless n adapter because told me faster wireless g adapter , $10.00 more. i'm being told buy cheaper 1 too. that's bit annoying, figured i'd check forum before shelling out more cash. isn't lot of money, i'd still know little more before buy wireless card.

please explain how fix if can...

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
