Thread: Burn ISO to CD Cd to Small??


ok registered here today,, have not gone through these forums yet answer have spent more week trying ubuntu install on old 800hhz laptop,, has 128mb ram (if works ok add more)

laptop has cd/dvd drive in not read dvd's on boot , when try burn i386 iso downloaded main ubuntu website blank cdr says cd not big enough burn files it.
have tried usb booting , still no luck,, im standing @ window toss old brick if dont somehow figure out how thing let me install ununtu on it... had worse issues xp im hoping ubuntu work me,, need user friendly os on can give in experienced computer user in need of computer (shes going on 70).

try lightweight xubuntu, may work better.
pain attention while choosing cd download, there bigger , smaller versions.

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
