Can't save new drawings created in Adobe CS2

after using abobe illustrator cs2 @ work years, can't open old drawings , if start new 1 if small, when close can't save not enough memory. there plenty of ram , room on hard drive. have restored older date. before (it guys , i) did restore un-installed re-installed adobe disk, , still have same problem. has solution? primary program used 90% of work do.
