funny how thinks indesign scripters have "more" influence on adobe :)
it may perhaps seem (from distance--a large one) because indesign's scripting interface several magnitudes larger, better, , faster of other suite siblings. however: indesign youngest sibling of adobe's adult applications, , has been created virtually out of nothing.
the other, *much* older apps evolved out of original mc68000 assembly code (i of that!) , scripting support has been tacked on sticky tape through years. indesign, built in architecture right start.
"full scripting support" appears surely moving down priority queue, *even* flagship application. evidenced in latest version, cc, not there *so* few new additions marc list them *all* in single short blog post, few additions added in *lazy* way possible: crudely glued on first basic pre-existing object able find. (it's reason decided not create new html file cc; amount of work doesn't agree me -- @ least -- equal increase in value).
it's time ol' ecmascript engine got overhaul well: why *not* upgrade latest version of javascript? (.. , token of will: same upgrade still large base of cs4-cs6 users.)
</rantmode> ;-)
