Thread: AWFUL Icon - need to replace or ???


the icon nautilus on ubuntu 12.04 system software center version of gnome installed has such awful icon i'm embarrassed have on desktop. it's fuzzy, lumpy, looks "cut out".

how fix - substitute icon, replace icon on system, or ???

, how accomplish whatever recommended...

ok, figured out.

1) open properties desktop icon
2) search in google nautilus icon
3) copy , drop gimp
4) save .png
5) select existing trashed icon on properties window, , shout "geminio" in best harry potter voice.
6) go saved icon, select it, , click "open"
7) admire replaced icon, should have been in first place.

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
