Can I embed OpenType fonts in Flash CS 5.5?


i reopened old-ish flash project , fonts aren't working. project worked on in cs 3 or 4 - don't recall - on mac running earlier version of os x. i'm running lion , flash cs 5.5, , of fonts aren't embedding or rendering. project using postscript fonts.

 

i thought read truetype fonts more reliable, font need (akzidenz grotesk) not available in truetype, opentype.

 

am safe buy , use in opentype format? it's several hundred dollars want sure before blowing money. think i'm looking @ version, seems smallest/cheapest can away with: http://www.linotype.com/265010/akzidenzgroteskstdvaluepack-product.html

i've embedded plenty of opentype without issue @ all. see it's ot cff in drop-down might want try embed declaration:

 

[embed(source="../somefont.ttf",

    fontname = "myfont",

    mimetype = "application/x-font",

    fontweight="normal",

    fontstyle="normal",

    unicoderange="englishrange",

    advancedantialiasing="true",

    embedascff="true")]

 

 

take special note of last directive embed font cff. make sure textfields assigned font , told embed.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
