Thread: SD Card mount problems


i used connect canon rebel directly pc, , gthumb photo import tool automatically open, , import pics.

since installing 12.04, camera no longer detected, , i've not been able ubuntu detect it. so, bought internal sd card reader, has brought it's own problems.

when insert sd card, mounts fine, it's impossible copy files it. 1 meg file takes on full minute, copying 100 pics 6+ megs each takes inordinate amount of time.

have tried various lines in fstab no avail (maybe i'm using wrong arguments?)

if open disk administrator, can select card (16 gb drive), click little gear icon, , click "mount options". cam change options here mount, revert upon next boot.

annoying! how can ubuntu mount card full privilages?

some things worth trying pinpoint cause:

same card in different machine
same card in different ubuntu version
other card in same machine

way should able logically find out cause is

hello! i'm trying setup software raid on server, fail @ first step: code: root@sandnabba:/root# mdadm -c /dev/md0 -c512 -l5 /dev/sdc1 /dev/sdd1 /dev/sde1 mdadm: no raid-devices specified. what doing wrong!? are sure -c equivalent --create? also, think need space after -c , -l options, value shouldn't command, or should have = between. @ man pages mdadm , double check spelling. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
