Thread: Fail to install the built Ubuntu Kernal at the final stage..


hi, wonder how can install these 3 files onto sd card successfully?
linux-headers-3.2.0-1418_3.2.0-1418.24_armhf.deb
linux-image-3.2.0-1418-omap4_3.2.0-1418.24_armhf.deb
linux-headers-3.2.0-1418-omap4_3.2.0-1418.24_armhf.deb
currently, i've done
1) copied 3 files down sd card
2) then, typed
code:
sudo dpkg -i linux-headers-3.2.0-1418_3.2.0-1418.24_armhf.deb
, got following error message:

peijia@peijia-ga-870a-ud3:/media/5679-3c26$ sudo dpkg -i linux-headers-3.2.0-1418_3.2.0-1418.24_armhf.deb

please, help...

it appears though system i386 system. can install i386 kernel , headers update.
sd card removed , taken armhf system? if yes, dpkg install steps on system. otherwise please explain more trying do.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
