Thread: SSH slow to connect


i switched isp provider on machine want connect to, there no problems old isp switched connecting through ssh (scp too) became slow, several minutes authentication query appear.

after connection established works fast.

problem? ssh configuration can tweak speed up? or new isp configuration should at?

added line in /etc/hosts
code:
ip    name of server
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.1.1 spiky-laptop

10.42.43.1 spiky-server <<<<<

done on server file ip client name , not sure if part in connected quicker, try 1st part 1st.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
