Unable to import .mp4/.ts into Premiere Elements 3.0

i've captured footage playstation 3 using device: http://gamerzone.avermedia.com/game_capture/live_gamer_portable
the device saves footage in .ts file.

i've tried information on file using program. if there's better way it, please let me know:

when try import file premiere elements 3.0, error message: "file format not supported/one of necessary components may not have been installed."

 

i've converted file mp4 format program: http://ftp2.avermedia.com/c875/c875_utility_v1.0.0.9_20131029.zip

ideally, avoid converting video file, if take lot of time. if can upgrade premiere elements, ideal solution.

 

please let me know if additional information needed.

i able import .ts file premiere elements 10, 11, , 12 windows 7 64 bit.

 

but, not so, premiere elements 4, 7, 8, , 9.

 

and, reason why .mp4 conversion did not work in accord fact used avchd video compression, , avchd video compression not supported premiere elements until version 7.

 

if decide move version 12, please note there dramatic difference in workspace between 3 , 12. so, go free tryout of 12 before purchase.

 

you try convert .ts h.264.mp4 , not avchd (mpeg4 avc/h.264).mp4 , see if works you.
