Thread: help cant install from live cd


hello im new linux,other android , absolute noob want use development purposes. , having trouble.

have emachines w3619 , want install linux when boot off live cd gets splash screen orenge dots filled , hangs the hard drive stops working , have hold power button reset pc.

read somewhare w3619 not compatiple linux kernal....

anyways here pc's hardware specs.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
