Thread: Running in low graphics mode

hi,
trying install lamp-server on ubuntu 12.04 when system crashed, , ever since, every time boot, following message displayed on screen :"ubuntu running in low graphics mode. display, input , graphic settings not detected automatically.you have configure these yourself".
further given 4 options, none of makes difference , end terminal operational , sequence of events happens every time boot pc.

btw, system has windows 7 alongside ubuntu , integrated intel hd graphics card. have tried various "install" , "upgrade" commands tata photon plus not seem connect unless explicitly 'make connect', not possible terminal opens (the 'networks' icon being absent).

infinitely grateful can me out urgent. lot!
