Thread: CVS won't install due to unmet dependencies


i'm unable install cvs due unmet dependencies. dependencies libraries older what's on system. here error message being displayed:
following packages have unmet dependencies:
bind9 : depends: libbind9-80 (= 1:9.8.1.dfsg.p1-4ubuntu0.1) 1:9.8.1.dfsg.p1-4ubuntu0.2 installed

e: unmet dependencies. try 'apt-get -f install' no packages (or specify solution).

tried apt-get -f install option no avail. i'm attempting install on ubuntu 12.04 lts server.

in advance help/suggestions.

so, need figure out how make cvs install these more recent libraries. or how older libraries install cvs install?
