metadata display in PL and PR lost

a serious problem noted when applications (pr , pl) reinstalled on pc.

in projects (pr , pl) have created jpb metadata schema:

x-place

x-subject

x-add_subject

x-action

x-comment

x-weather

the sidecar files (xmp) reflect metadata:

   xmp:metadatadate="2013-11-03t10:02:11+02:00"

   xmp:modifydate="2013-10-26t08:48:16+02:00"

   jpb:x-place="on road"

   jpb:x-subject="leopard"

   jpb:x-action="eat on tree">

after new pc setup win 8 , later 8.1, fresh installed adobe applications, jpb properties no longer present, neither in pr nor in pl.

loading saved metadata schema (jpb) or recreating schema not show metadata content in projects still present in xmp file.

if content of jpb metadata schema updated in pr or pl xmp file modified following:

  • the old entry “jpb:x-place” changed “jpb_1_:x-place”
  • the new entry “jpb:x-place” created new content

   xmp:metadatadate="2013-11-13t07:15:57+02:00"

   xmp:modifydate="2013-10-26t08:48:15+02:00"

      jpb_1_:x-place="on road"

   jpb_1_:x-subject="leopard"

   jpb_1_:x-action="eat on tree"

   jpb:x-place="new"

   jpb:x-subject="new"

   jpb:x-action="new">

the problem independent of “age” of project , got twice after reinstallation of adobe applications.

this means 30 weeks of work lost.

perhaps have solution problem. in advance serious advice.

regards, jpb

hi -

forgive me if have done want check basics first. within metadata panel in prelude, have used flyout menu @ top right of panel , selected "metadata display…" option? brings list of installed schemas. need set check mark next jpb schema. want ensure each field of schema checked well. show in metadata panel.

also, within prelude project panel, if search 1 of jpb schema fields or values, prelude still filter results?

also – can tell me more how "loaded" jpb metadata schema after reinstalling apps? did place schema file jpb schema?

regards,

michael
