Place Text with Photos


i attempting import .docx file indesign, , pictures coming out of text , "floating" on top of document. not able set them in text, , not able import .pdf version of document because cloud-based version of indesign subscribed not allow me import .pdf files. sixth time have re-imported document, , getting frustrating. i'd appreciate assistance can offer.

showing hidden characters, object edges , threaded text frames (select 1 of these images).

are images freely anchored texts? think, should "inline" after placing .docx file.
could try opening word file in ms word app , save in older .doc format , try again?

 

the thing not allowing import pdfs strange one. indesign cc, , take words, using indesign cc (is patched latest version v9.1.0?) should able place pdfs. unless pdf secured , restricted password.

 

on os indesign running?

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
