Thread: Libreoffice Impress - control sound volume?
i got power point slide shows (pps files) combine picture slides background music. open full-screen , play; can advance slides , hear music.
know these files weren't designed libreoffice impress, haven't figured out how reduce sound volume. no matter volume control set, pps plays @ maximum volume. can reduce system volume or mute system volume no effect. haven't been able access application volume in upper taskbar because pps opens @ full-screen , hides upper taskbar.
recommendations? googlubuntu, google & forum search have not been friend on one; neither has libreoffice impress user's manual.
after meore digging, may related to:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32664
if understand bug correctly, covers not windows versions of libreoffice.
i'll leave open now.
edit: doesn't seem related bug mentioned; found workaround.
1) log out of unity, log ubuntu classic
2) open pps file or libreoffice impress file
3) right-click gnome-sound-applet (i think of volume control) in upper-right of upper task bar , left-click sound preferences in drop-down menu.
4) left-click applications tab adjust volume in libreoffice impress required.
note: found gnome-sound-applet not installed in ubuntu classic; had add taskbar outlined here:

not make work in unity because pps file opened in full-screen no way change window-view volume control.
