Photoshop CC not rendering opacity/transparency properly
hi, having trouble photoshop cc. searched around , yet find else same issue.
i've been using cc few months fine, 3 weeks ago began encountering problem. happens occasionally, 1 file out of ten. doesn't kick in right when photoshop starts, after i'm 3-4 layers file. saving file .psd, restarting photoshop cc , reopening file 'fixes' it, though of course it's annoying have that.
i'll painting standard brush tool brush hardness of 85% or whatever, , solid blocks of white appear around edges. then, if hide/reveal layer, change layer order, change layer opacity or blend mode, whole layer turns solid white few random areas being totally clear. brush error looks like:
none of white supposed there, should plain soft brush stroke. it's not layer style. happens new layer , new brush stroke. first few brush strokes fine , kicks in on fourth or fifth stroke, etc.
i'm using mid-2011 imac, os 10.7. i've increased ram 12gb , keep drivers updated, know it's not out of date parts or lack of memory. bug happens both other programs running in background , without else running. said, cc has worked fine until , started doing on last few weeks , can use photoshop several hours across several files , not encounter problem. other times occurs in 5 minutes.
anybody got ideas or experienced themselves?
to me sounds problem layer compositing, - depending on mode you've selected - relies @ least in part on gpu.
i suggest trying changes preferences - performance, [ advanced settings...] drawing mode setting. knock down normal or basic mode, quit , reopen photoshop before testing.
