Thread: Gparted does not show Windows 7 for dual-boot
hey all,i bought asus n56v other day , did fresh install of windows , trying install ubuntu. when put ubuntu disk in, works until have choose install it. gparted shows 700gb unallocated, os-prober shows windows 7 installed. in windows split drive 2 350gb partitions. how fix this?
do not create partitions windows. may convert dynamic partitions.
new windows computer use 4 primary partitions. windows uses 2, 1 hidden 100mb boot/repair , main install. vendor adds image of drive purchased instead of install disks recovery partition , utility or tools partition.
livecd post this:
sudo fdisk -lu
or gparted post screenshot. can attach message paperclip icon in edit panel above message.

besure create recovery dvd(s) first. , windows repair cd.

vendor recovery dvds image of drive purchased. if have housecleaned lot of cruft included, run many updates many reboots, , added software may want full up.
