computer courses should take? willing spend time , money going school learn how control ubuntu.

there few object oriented programming languages can use in order accomplish task including java, c#, python, , others. favorite python, have entire community built around sound , music applications. check out site it may give ideas, inspiration, or maybe add on 1 of programs , make better.

there no real answer question, there no best language, , there no vb6

has own preferences. best way learn language not take classes, dig in , start coding. think python great bet because has tons of documentation, avid support group, , bunch of great features.
