font issue with eps


an eps file opens without problem preview .pdf on mac os 10.7.5

in illustrator when open same file, main font not recognized , no warning said font not available.

could please explain me  why ? should ?

i tried replicate issue (i'm on illustrator cs5.1 - mavericks)

 

click on pdf - right click - open illustrator - select desired page open in dialogue box - edit/click/select font see if shows in type dialogue box.

 

may other reason text set outlines?

 

if not works, sure 1 else on forum of help?

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
