Thread: Choose application for XML file by filename extension, not type XML ?


i have problem in xubuntu files of type xml being opened 1 single application. not matter if ardour session, or .kst file kde plot program, xml , being opened same application. , when change "open with" setting in file preferences changes default application xml type files again.
possible bypass , e.g. let .kst files start plotting program kst, , .ardour files ardour instead of standard xml viewer ?

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
