Thread: Brocken Package System


i upgraded precise 12.04 (clean install) 1 month ago , morning (after un update) went wrong: when start ubuntu software center warning package catalog (see screenshot1) , when click on repair error response (screenshot2 (imposible enlarge window!)).

if start update manager usual window (screenshot3) , then, on install, error response window (screenshot4) says package system brocken because not installed package update manager going install!!! confusing!

no need panic yet. try again tomorrow , again on monday. if continues, you'll want drop terminal, try update again , post exact errors here.

waiting few days gives developer time correct issues may have missed or corrupt package discovered , fixed, that's all.

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
