Thread: (12.04) Changing power state crashes Ubuntu/needs package reinstall, can't find it.


i have installed ubuntu 12.04 first time on dell insprion duo laptop.
while downloading chrome it, unplugged ac adapter, , showed black crash screen.
had hard reboot laptop ubuntu.
same thing happened when plugged in.
when got back, got error appeared on side bar:

"an error occurred, please run package manager right-click menu or adt-get in terminal see wrong. error message ' unknown error:'<type'exceptions.systemerror'>' (e:the package google-chrome-stable:i368 needs reinstalled, can't find archive it.)'. means installed packages have unmet dependencies."

i've been searching solution 2 hours , every solution i've comes same "the package needs reinstalled" error.

(1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
