Thread: Wired internet connection very slow in Lubuntu 12.04

hi,

have installed lubuntu 12.04 (dual boot windows xp sp3) on machine , i've been having issues wired internet connection. after running few internet speed tests seems in lubuntu 12.04 have low internet speeds. on other hand in windows xp internet works fine.

first noticed issue beggining, when downloading updates , programs both update manager , apt-get in terminal. noticed @ various other software downloads.

what have tried:

1) have tried proposed solution found here, no success.

2) have tried disabling ipv6 network connections settings, selecting wired connection ->edit , under ipv6 settings selected method:ignore. no success either.
