Thread: Canon Pixma MG2140 Printer Installation Problems


hi,

purchased above printer , installed using cnijfilter-mg2100series-3.60-1-deb. printed test page in black , white successfully, won't print in colour.

did not install via cd's came printer instructions include windows , mac. not sure if printer issue or driver issue.

1. should do?
2. can switch on xp , instal cd's have same printer installed on ubuntu? don't want mess up, thought if can see if functions correctly on xp know problem on ubuntu.
3. have searched canon site drivers make not included in drop down options list.
4. know ubuntu can find colour drivers , how install them etc?


pc partitioned xp , ubuntu. pc: inte (r) core (tm) 2 cpu, 32 bit res, nvidia geforce 7300gt.

ok, printer works in windows - problem hoping move away windows entirely.

can suggest way colour working in ubuntu?

hello! i'm trying setup software raid on server, fail @ first step: code: root@sandnabba:/root# mdadm -c /dev/md0 -c512 -l5 /dev/sdc1 /dev/sdd1 /dev/sde1 mdadm: no raid-devices specified. what doing wrong!? are sure -c equivalent --create? also, think need space after -c , -l options, value shouldn't command, or should have = between. @ man pages mdadm , double check spelling. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
