Why use a div to insert image?


hi. can explain why david powers inserts div element ("hero div") sole purpose of inserting image? why not insert image without div? also, how style hero div , hero div img? thanks.

the hero div not used sole purpose of inserting image. becomes container article element, , used create containing block article, absolutely positioned.

 

you can find out how hero div , hero image styled studying style sheet, main.css, in completed folder of download files.

using value from one form field in another form field

i hope can accurately describe problem. please bear me   i have worksheet lot of form fields. text boxes , few combo boxes. i'm using lot of custom calculation scripts determine information auto populates of fields. but i'm having problems 1 last form field named orthoplanid.   the value auto populates depends on 2 other fields. 1 field called medoop. other field suppdenplanid. tried using if/then/else statement orthoplanid it's not working. guessing doesn't work b/c value in medoop field generated if/then statement i'm not sure if script recognizes value true value or not.   is there way around this? i'm not sure if i've explained problem hope can   thanks, brandy it's hard without being able @ form, can begin confirming field calculation order correct (it's not same thing tab order) , checking see if errors reported in javascript console (ctrl+j).
