Thread: Making a "real" push to stay in ubuntu, need help on Teamspeak


hello guys:

several years have tried best stay stable on ubuntu. love it, 1 reason or endup going windows. either apps use alot dreamweaver, or have been unable setup tv video capture cards or that.

time, have dedicated desktop @ work using libreoffice , "normal_" things confident survive.

time howerver need teamspeak 3. have installed dont know (and dont like) installed.

here questions

wjhere should teamspeak insatalled folder palced?
shouyld there icon on desktop or in unity toolbar?

have been using program know works, want know if placed , installed. example when click on dash button , search teamspeak, gives me executable (that once click on not work) have click on folder open , run executable. bugging me

once you've got thing working - right click on icon in launcher , can lock there.

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
