Thread: 12.04 System won't resume after suspend


just did fresh install of xubuntu 12.04 , noticed system won't resume suspend. black screen can tell computer "awake" behind it.

can do?

did find fix black screen on boot issue having. maybe it's related? did:

sudo leafpad /etc/rc.local

added:
setpci -s 00:02.0 f4.b=20

before "exit 0", saved , exited, rebooted fine.

system specs:
acer emachines e725
mobile intel 4 chipset (integrated graphics)

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
