Thread: Xubuntu 12.04 Desktop Issues


i have 2 questions;

1 - possible start program minmized taskbar?

2 - possible change icons in taskbar? have noticed icons in taskbar differ shown in menu. icons used in taskbar located?

i can't answer question 1, question 2 simple. right-click icon, select "panel" context menu, there select items tab, , locate appropriate launcher list results. can count "separator" item locate 1 want. select it, click pencil-like "edit" button beside list bring editing dialog selected launcher. next, click icon shown in editing dialog; bring window of application icons. can change category "all" see everything, pick 1 want use, highlight it, , click ok/save (i'm not @ 12.04 system right now). it.

can edit them 1 trip panel items list.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
