Thread: 2 Game Issues, 2 machines


on daughter's laptop, i'm having problem running angrybirds under wine 1.4: choose level play, crashes:

so checked dmesg, , here's get, though can't tell sure, assume wine having issue ati card in laptop reason:

the other issue jedi outcast under wine 1.5 on laptop. can play single player fine, when play multiplayer, client cannot see local or internet-based servers, , when i'm server, no local clients can see me. far know, there no error logs being generated particular issue, if can either of these problems, appreciative!

on both laptops, i'm running ubuntu 12.04. daughter's older ibm thinkpad a31 sporting ati radeon gfx, , mine toshiba satellite a100 intel gfx. angrybirds runs fine under wine 1.5 on mine.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
