Dreamweaver will not open - just bounces a couple of times in dock.


hi. running mac os x 10.9 mavericks , have tried install dreamweaver cc 1st time bounces in dock couple of times , stops. (i have been running indesign cc, photoshop cc , illustrator cc & cs4 while.). think when first installed mavericks window popped asking install java because illustrator cs4 needed it. did it. read other websites mentioned problem java, deleted library/java , system/library/java folders (deleted dreamweaver 1st, repaired permissions, restarted , reinstalled dreamweaver again). still not launch or come option install java.

 

i installed java again here: http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1572, (dreamweaver still didn’t launch) , let me install update java came automatically. still didn’t launch.

 

see below java version running.

 

#####:~ ######$ java -version

java version "1.6.0_65"

java(tm) se runtime environment (build 1.6.0_65-b14-462-11m4609)

java hotspot(tm) 64-bit server vm (build 20.65-b04-462, mixed mode)

i sorted in end.

it open in new user account guess wasn't java problem others had. thought might fonts problem removed them still crashed.

 

removed pref files , works now.

- deleted dreamweaver cc folder in /users/your user name/library/application support/adobe.

- deleted every file & folder called 'dreamweaver' in /users/your user name/library/preferences (note: doing did delete prefs older versions don't use them more ok me)

 

(i did before deleted prefs - didn't work might step have 1st - knows):

- navigate th user library/application support/adobe/adobe folder

- backup cepservicemanager4 folder

- delete original cepservicemanager4 folder

- check , quit active cepservicemanager  process activity monitor

- launch dw

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
