Thread: Telkomsel Flash USB modem not working on Ubuntu 12.04


i have sony vaio laptop model vgn-fs115z running dual-boot system windows xp pro sp3 , ubuntu 12.04. both systems have full wireless connectivity , display local wireless networks in range. however, problem have telkomsel flash wireless usb dongle works windows not ubuntu. dongle includes setup , installation files, , know install file .exe file, works windows in experience.

in indonesia, , telkomsel usb indonesian product, hoping ubuntu users in indonesia have workaround issue. appreciated

using telkomsel flash prolink phs-301 usb modem.
luckily, id vendor , id product same tutorial
(vendor=0x1c9e product=0×9605).
so, copy , paste commands works!

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
