flash player with windows 8


i purchased computer windows 8, tried playing games , said flash player out of date , took me adobe website said flashplayer integrated windows 8 not need update,there couple of troubleshooting tips in tools,but did not help.  have problem or fix?

the message right. flash player (for internet explorer @ least) integrated browser microsoft. depending on how long new pc "on shelf" there updates aren't installed. got new toshiba laptop in june, , "december" build, 6-month-old laptop year now.

 

flash player ie updates through windows update. latest version 11.9.900.152.

you can access flash player global settings via control panel>system , security panel, manually run windows update, if need to.

 

ie11 has had numerous problems sorts of sites, yahoo, facebook, bbc, espn , more.

microsoft's recommendation enable compatibility view these sites "pretend" ie11 version works still.

my recommendation not pretend you're using else, use else. firefox, opera, safari or chrome each better browser ie.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
