Thread: ERROR re-installing Firefox


hi,

new ubuntu , messed firefox, decided remove can't re-install it.

getting after revoking command terminal:

sudo apt-get install firefox

have searched forum seems problem new. appreciated.

it looks if perhaps need purge firefox rather remove it. try
code:
sudo apt-get purge firefox
possible firefox package in cache corrupt may worth removing
code:
sudo rm /var/cache/apt/archives/firefox_14.0.1+build1-0ubuntu0.12.04.1_i386.deb
trying installation again.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
